Keeper of the Veil - Guild Leader

The rank of Keeper of the Veil is borne by three, Merlo, Powerlevel, and Mordven, who together hold the guiding hand over the Norrath Secret Society. Though they walk beneath separate names and answer to separate callings upon the field, they are bound by a single purpose and moved by a single will, laboring as one to shepherd the guild and hold it true upon the long road of progression. It is no small burden they carry. To keep an order old and enduring upon its chosen path, to steady it through the turning of ages and the trials of Norrath, is a charge given only to those who have proven themselves steadfast. These three take up that charge with all the strength they possess, that the Society may seek, discover, and endure as it has since its founding.

Shadow Councilor - Sr. Officers

The rank of Shadow Councilor is set aside for those who have long borne the mantle of Nightblade and, having served faithfully in that station, seek to give yet more of themselves to our order. These are they who would take up a heavier share of the labor, standing at the side of the Keepers of the Veil and lending their hands to the weightier work of leadership.It is a rank earned through patience and proven devotion, granted not for ambition alone but for the willingness to shoulder greater duty in service of the Society. Those who rise to it become pillars upon which the guild leans, that its course may hold steady and its purpose endure.

Nightblade – Jr. Officers

The rank of Nightblade stands open to any member of our order who keeps faithful attendance at our weekly gatherings of war and who speaks aloud the wish to give more of themselves to the Society. No narrow measure bars the way to this station, nor is it won by feats of arms alone.What is asked is simpler, and yet not easily given: that one walk in good fellowship with all who bear our name, that one lend willing aid to the Shadow Councilors in their labors, and that one stand ready to assist the Keepers of the Veil in the ordering and keeping of the guild. Those who prove themselves in these things are welcomed into the rank, that the burden of leadership might be shared among many steady hands.

Wraith Lord – Main Characters

The rank of Wraith Lord is granted to those members who keep steadfast attendance at our weekly gatherings of war and who stand in good favor within our order. It is a mark of belonging, held by those who have shown themselves true companions of the Society. Know also this custom, which each member may claim: that upon every account there is granted the naming of one character as one's own chosen champion. This need not be the warrior you bring to the raid alone. It may be that self, or it may be another entirely, whichever you hold dearest. Let it be your mightiest in station, or the one whose company you keep most often when the war horns are silent and you wander the lands of Norrath at your own leisure. The choosing is yours to make.

Wraithcaller - Member's Alternate Characters

The rank of Wraithcaller is set aside for those members who take active part in our weekly gatherings of war, and it serves as the appointed station for their lesser-known selves. Here are gathered the alternate characters of our faithful, those companions kept beyond the one named as champion. Thus does each member find a place not only for their chosen banner but for all the other forms they may take upon the fields of Norrath, that every soul beneath our name may be counted and held within the order.

Specter – Junior Members

The rank of Spector is offered to any soul who wishes to take up our banner yet cannot stand among us at our weekly gatherings of war. Whether held apart by duties beyond their command, or by their own choosing content to walk a quieter path, such members find here an honored place within the Society. Should an Spector desire to rise beyond this station, the way is plain: they need only pledge themselves to attend our weekly gatherings, and by that commitment open the road to higher rank. And know also this. Should any full member who has long marched with us find that they can no longer keep the weekly watch, yet wish still to wander Norrath beneath our name, they shall be returned to this rank. There they shall remain, held in good keeping, until such time as the demands upon them ease and they may once more take their place among the ranks of war.

Shadewalker

The rank of Shadewalker is set aside for the alternate selves of those who have risen to the station of Specter. When a recruit earns their ascent to Specter, all the lesser forms they keep within our order shall likewise be raised, and shall dwell henceforth beneath this name. Know that these shadowed selves are granted but narrow passage to the stores and treasures of the guild, holding only limited claim upon that which the Society keeps. Yet their true self, the Specter to whom they belong, shall be trusted with a fuller measure, holding certain rights and access held back from the lesser forms. Thus is each rewarded according to their standing, the champion granted the greater portion and the shadows that follow the lesser.

​Shadowstalker - Recruits / Missing In Action

The rank of Shadowstalker holds within it several of our number. Here are placed all who come newly into the fold, their footsteps yet fresh upon our path. Here too are kept the alternate selves of our Initiates, those lesser forms of members who walk the quieter road. And here are gathered as well those who have passed into the shadows of absence, lost for a time to us, along with the alternate characters of those same wandering souls. Thus does the rank of Shadowstalker hold both the newly arrived and the long-departed, a threshold at once of beginnings and of patient waiting, until each finds their way forward or returns once more into the light of our order.
